Trans Rift Trail Guides
Stemming out of an ancestry of long distance walkers, the Trans Rift Trail guides are drawn from the main transect route. This means that they have a traditional understanding of the environment, culture and traditions, the necessary ingredients of a true an authentic experience to the visitors.

Through United Nations Development’s (UNDP) Small Grants Programme, the project has been granted funds to develop the age-old natural trails as well as promote active adventure tourism while supporting environmental conservation and boosting tourism in rural neighborhoods.
The team comprised of 14 hikers tackled the 9 kms section from Nyalilpuch camp to Fig tree camp site, it was one of the most endurance bit to tackle, the trail was/is used by school children, traders and domestic animals, the ancient trail has been used by our fore fathers for over 500 years.
I officially launched Sergoit View Gardens as a Trekking Base Camp, that marks the beginning of Uasin Gishu Plateau route of the Trans-Rift Trail. I was joined by Uasin Gishu Governor
